This Victoria Day Monday, join us on Centre Island for a day of food, fun, and games! (This event replaces the ‘Victoria Day Centre Island BBQ’ previously run by Deuce. Deuce is moving out of the country and is no longer available to run this event.)
Tentative Schedule:
- 1:00pm: Meet at the Ferry Docks at the foot of Bay street. (Make your way south from Union Station to get there.)
- 1:30pm: Ferry leaves for Centre Island.
- 2:00pm: Have fun in the Centreville amusement park!
- 5:00pm: Set up for potluck food and snacks at the BBQ Shelter.
- 7:00pm: Head towards the beach.
- 7:30pm: Silent Disco, Campfire and marshmallow toasting at Hanlan’s Point!
- 10:30pm: Head back to ferry docks
- 11:00pm/11:45pm: Ferry departs from Centre Island back to Toronto.
1:00 pm – Ferry Docks
Meet at the Ferry Docks to catch the 1:30 pm ferry. If you do not have a ferry ticket, you can purchase one here. Av will have a limited supply of ferry tickets available for sale also. If you miss the ferry, just take the next one and check the schedule to see where we will be next.
2:00 pm – Fun at Centreville!
Centreville is an amusement park on the Toronto Islands. Bumper cars, rides, pizza, funnel cake, ice cream, it’s all there for you! Unfortunately we are not allowed to wear fursuits in Centreville, but that will come later!
5:00 pm – Potluck!
We will head to the BBQ shelter we’ve used in previous years and set up a potluck-style snack. Please bring any snack that you think people will enjoy! If you have dietary restrictions, it may be best if you bring your own snack for yourself.

At the same time, we will also have fursuiting, games of frisbee, and more!
7:30 pm – Silent Disco & Beach Campfire
We will head to Hanlan’s Point beach and set up a campfire, and toast marshmallows. Also, a set of three DJs will play music for us ‘silent disco’ style.
What the hell is a silent disco?
Never heard of a silent disco? It’s everything you’d expect to find at a dance — people dancing in costumes, DJ’s spinning the sickest beats, flashing lights to set the mood — except there are no speakers. We will be broadcasting the music via FM radio! Everyone can choose to listen at their preferred volume. You just need an FM radio! Some phones have these built-in, but if you don’t have one, Kerfluffle Staff will have these for sale for $8 each (We accept cash, credit, or debit tap).
11:00 pm – Ferry back to the mainland
Hopefully everyone had a fun day as we take the ferry back to the mainland!
TICKETS
There is no requirement to register for this event, as it is a free event. Just show up on time! However, if you RSVP with ‘I need a ferry ticket’, Kerfluffle Staff will purchase a ferry ticket for you and sell it to at 1pm at the ferry docks, for $8 (Staff will accept cash, credit card, or debit tap).
If you show up late, you will need to purchase your own ferry ticket. You can buy ferry tickets from the Toronto Islands Ferry Service website.

Meet at 1pm at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, at the foot of Bay St.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All ages are welcome!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Transit is suggested, as the Ferry Docks at the foot of Bay St are easily accessible by transit. Just take the Harbourfront Streetcar from Union Station and get off at Queens Quay / Bay.
Parking is available but all the parking lots are pay parking. Expect to pay $15-20 for the day.
What can I bring into the event?
Anything you want! Remember to bring food and snacks for the potluck!
Will there be food?
We are having a Potluck-style meal. Remember to bring enough food for yourself and someone else, and there should be enough to go around! Centreville also has food available for purchase.
